"Jun Jieh" is my Buddhist spiritual name. Despite my many years of interest in ISKCON I was never initiated, something I regret.

Visit in Taiwan

My holiday in Taiwan is drawing to a close and it will soon be time to return to the hustle, bustle, pollution and noise of Kathmandu.

One of my best memories of this holiday will be the few days spent in the countryside of south-east Taiwan where I stayed with my wife's god-daughter's grandfather in his traditional, simple house in an aborigine area. We are running an Gurukul Ashrama for poor children in Bangalore. Currently we are building a nice kitchen so that we can cook efficiently for the Deities and serve that Mahaprasada to children. We give free education and food to 40 children and orphans. Srila Gurudeva will be visiting our farm in September 2nd week. We would like to complete the kitchen work before then. Can you please help us with a small donation to complete this work?

Still no replies to my emails to the temples in Hong Kong (about me visiting Hong Kong or Taiwan), or from UK where I emailed asking how to subscribe to BTG and to order some stuff! (Actually, still no reply to my email to the temple here in Nepal either!)

I really want to find some nice devotee friends from around the world!

Yesterday I was fortunate enough to have the chance to visit the temple here in the outskirts of Kathmandu. It is interesting how different every temple is, not only the different beautiful images and deities but the different atmosphere too. I did go unannounced but it was a shame that I didn't have chance to really meet anyone. I found a board listing some activities, but without timings and it was unclear what language too. Anyhow, I will visit again after my holidays.
Next weekend I will be in Hong Kong and would love to visit the temple again there where i enjoyed time with Tamal Krishna Goswami and the devotees in 1980-82. After that I will be visiting Taiwan and again would love to have chance to visit the temple there too. I have sent emails - perhaps I will get replies before I leave here.
