Each and every soul is unique, has no connection to other souls. As a pearl in a bucket full of pearls, is always unique in the entire bucket full of pearls.

First I would like to tell that there is no relation between souls. Each and every soul is totally a separate and independent organism whether human or an animal. There are no copies, no clones of any Jiva or the Jivaatma (Creature-Soul), because even an Atom is unique, all cells, bodies, souls, everything is unique, are original, and have intrauniversally unique existences grounded on the Supreme Brahman who transcends the entire universe to the outer universes. Each and every soul is unique, s…

By knowing whom does everything else gets realized?

There are multiple causes of the existence of life and matter. And there is no Godhead or God who is all in all. By knowing not "whom", but by knowing these causes and their required sciences to be understood, learnt and memorized, then only everything is slowly and steadily realized, coined as "enlightenment". 1. Space (which exceeds all that is including the entire body of Supreme Brahman, never had any beginning nor end). 2. Time (which is eternal exceeds all that is including the entire bo…

Sri Radhashtami

Srimati Radharani is the eternal consort of Lord Krishna. She appeared on the eighth day of the bright fortnight in the month of Bhadra (August – September) fifteen days after the birth of Lord Sri Krishna. She is the foster daughter of Maharaja Vrushabhanu and Kirtida Sundari. She was not born to any couple but was found in a field by Maharaja Vrushabhanu. All great authorities on devotional science (bhakti yoga) consider Her to be the greatest devotee of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.…

Lord Rama

Millions of years ago, in the age called Treta-yuga, the Supreme Personality of Godhead descended as a king, Lord Rama, or Ramachandra, to establish the principles of religion, morality and righteousness. His pastimes were recorded by the poet Valmiki in the epic Ramayana. The Story of Lord Rama Ramachandra appeared in the Sun Dynasty as the son of King Dasharatha, in the line of King Ikshvaku, the first ruler of the Earth. Lord Rama was the darling of His father and mother, Queen Kaushalya, as…

Planning A Trip To India

My friend and I are planning a trip to India for 3 months. We want to see and experience as much as possible, including a short visit to Sri Lanka, but realize that 3 mo. is not enough time to visit all the places on our list. We will definitely spend some time in both Mayapur and Vrndavan. That's for sure. I also very much want to visit Puri and Tirupati. Besides these, our list includes: Allahabad, Varanasi, Khajuraho, Dwarka, Kuruksetra, Hardwar, Rishikesh and many others. I could use the…

Don't be a nice devotee, be a SERIOUS one!

We are told not to criticise even when there is something serious to bring peoples attention towards. If we continue pointing out the obvious we are told to stop being an offender and promptly ostracised. This has nurtured a culture of the 'nice' devotee. The nice devotee is scared to mention anything that may be termed as political with the threat of aparad hanging over their head. This is like the Israeli Zionists committing atrocities in Palestine and as soon as someone criticises their actio…

A Journey

This story starts as does everyone’s at birth, as I cant remember fully before that. I was born as a Jehovahs Witness, which is a Zionistic man-made cult. Now these people pump into you from an early age, 'we are the only true way, this is the absolute truth'. Obviously any self-respecting teenager would choose to rebel at the correct age and so I did. I wanted to leave this cult as it was not the truth to me and I thought I would set out as an agnostic and discover my own truth.
At the age…

Visit in Taiwan

My holiday in Taiwan is drawing to a close and it will soon be time to return to the hustle, bustle, pollution and noise of Kathmandu.

One of my best memories of this holiday will be the few days spent in the countryside of south-east Taiwan where I stayed with my wife's god-daughter's grandfather in his traditional, simple house in an aborigine area. He was so warm and inviting. I loved waking up in the morning to see the mountains and to take a morning stroll along the quiet roads an…

This had never occured to me to do. So, I have been getting up at 3:00 am and I have started to make that transition. REINCARNATION IS MAKING A COMEBACK

Birth and other transformations are undergone by the body but never by the self, just as change occurs for the moon's phases but never for the moon, though the new moon day maybe called the moon's death.

As the embodied soul continuously passes in this body from boyhood to youth to old age,the soul similarly passes into another body at death.A sober person is not bewildered by such a change.

There are few traditional societies in which women have played a dominant historical role. In this respect, Gaudiya Vaishnavism is no different. The egalitarianism of bhakti movements, which stress the universality of devotion and deny any disqualifications based on birth, sex, or caste, seems to have had limited real effects on the actual social circumstances of any of these classes of people. There are some, including the eminent Bengali historian, Ramakanta Cha

Meeting in the Disguise of Abhimanyu

Once, in the cold month of Magh (January-February), Sri Radhika began to follow an auspicious vow of bathing daily in the Yamuna River early in the morning. thus, every day just before dawn, She rose from bed and went with her girlfriends to bathe in the Yamuna. Seeing this going on, Kutila (the sister of Abhimanyu) began to develop a suspicion within her mind.

when Krishna visits me

I have these coincidences that I have realized is Krishna communicating with me. I will be watching television and something will be shown that seems to be relevant to what is going on right at that moment.
Once, I was crying out for Krishna and then a program came on about tattoo artists that were Krishnas and they live in Nyc where I used to live. I found that funny because usually the religion that gets focused on in tatooing is Christianity.
The other day I had written down a quo…

Action and the Resultant Reaction

Activities and their resultant reactions: This is a very tough subject matter to understand. Krishna says gahana karmano gatih (BG 4.17). He also says that even the intelligent are bewildered in understanding this subject matter: kavayo 'py atra mohitah (BG 4.16).

The activities we perform can be broadly classified as karma (activities prescribed by the scriptures), vikarma (prohibited actions), akarma (actions that bring in neither pious credits nor sinful reactions: activities in Kri…

It's all new

I've been a spiritual person all my life and its taken me down many paths. None yet has been right. I have been drawn toward the Hare Krishna movement before, but it was not the right time to look too deeply into it.

Now I am ready to explore this. I have my japa beads and my Hare Krishna chant and will be exploring more fully. I am also on my way to becoming vegetarian. I'm doing this for ethical and spiritual reasons.

Melbourne Mahaprabhu Mandir Reflections

Last Sunday I had 3 brief days - all too brief at the wonderful Melbourne Mahaprabhu Mandir. This tirtha of Srila Prabhupada has so much to offer. The most beautiful Deities - all installed by Srila Prabhupada himself - Sri Sri Radha Vallabha, giant Sri Gaura Nitai and big Jagannatha, Balarama and Subhadra.

You'll find at least 20 -30 people at mangala arati every day - a strong community of brahmacaris, householders, students, and 3 pujaris on the altar from many aratis.

Japa t…

Out to Save the World

Out to Save the World Those who have become advanced in spiritual understanding by realizing and fully absorbing themselves in a state of perfect harmony with the Supreme Absolute Truth, cannot tolerate seeing a world society that is so deeply plunged into chaos and illusion. They deeply and intensely feel compassion for the 99.99% of the world population that is caught up in such a miserable existence. Even though so many people think they are enjoying life, their happiness is imaginary. It is…

In sickness and in health

How different my relationship to Krsna is when I am sick, as I am now. In sickness I remember that I am a helpless jiva, in sickness I remember that God is God, and I am His servant, and I realise ultimately we are dependent on His causeless mercy.

In sickness I have tried to read Prabhupada's books more, chant more attentively, and engage with Srila Prabhupada in my heart more meaningfully. In this sense, sickness for me can be a blessing, not a curse.

Nonetheless I pray to be…

Social Network

Dandavat pranams dear reader,

I have mixed feelings of the Hare Krishna Network. It is very important that devotees of Sri Sri Radha Krishna meet, share their ideas and inspire each other to stay on the bhakti trail by performing harinam. I agree full heartedly. On the other hand there is lot of chit chat on the network. People who send friends request without thinking because it looks so great if you have 400 friends on the Network and you can send them all a mail about nothing real…

a withering sprig in a new season

Well where to begin. I have just moved to my dads house to hopefully get myself on the right path this time. I was living in a big college town trying to do my sadhana and search for answers to things olny I could posibly know. In the process I started drinking doing drugs and just loseing myself. Most of my friends are not very spirtual in any manor. So I feel very little around them and big at times but never a happy medium wich makes any kind of pratice very hard. Now I find myself running fr…
